The movie, A Taxi Driver, was released in August 2017. The
director of the film is Jang Hoon and main actors are Song
Kangho, Thomas Kreckman, Yoo Haejin, Ryu Junyeol and
Ryu Junyeol. The film was based on a true story of the 5·18
Gwangju Democratization Movement.
Kim Manbok, who lives in Seoul, works as a taxi driver and
raises his daughter, Eun Jung. At that time, many university
students were frequently engaged in demonstrations, and
there was a rumor that the civilians of Gwangju rioted
against the government. Meanwhile, a German reporter,
