Let's Meet Our Teachers!

2. Interview with Jang, Yongcheol
(Teaching Subject: Music)

IS: Why did you decide to become a teacher?
Jang: At first, I'm not interested in education. But accidently
I got a chance to complete a course in teaching and had a job
opportunity as a short-term teacher. After teaching students
as a short-term teacher, I realized that teaching job is very
meaningful and attractive. Consequently, I decided to be a

teacher and did my best to be a teacher.

IS: What is the most memorable incident or student during
your teacher career?
Jang: While I managed a student quartet, I taught members
of that quartet to go to universities, Seoul National Univ,
Yonsei Univ, etc. I still contact with them.

IS: What is your specific educational belief or motto?
Jang: Although I am a music teacher, I stress my students
to develop their personality rather than gaining skills or
knowledge of music. Also, I make students make their own
life properly through my teaching.

(Teaching Subject: Ethics) IS: Do you have any thing to say for Inha high school
students?

IS: Why did you decide to become a teacher? Jang: Although this high school period is hard and difficult,
Jung: I'm interested in education and good at teaching. So I this period cannot be reversible. So I hope that our students
decided to become a teacher. do their best in a given time so that they achieve their goals.

IS: What is the most memorable incident or student during
your teacher career?
Jung: There was a student who ran away from home when
he was a middle school student. Nevertheless, I made him
study. So he entered the university and majored in physical
education. I still contact with him until now.

IS: What is your specific educational belief or motto?

Jung: I always say to my students, "Efforts do not betray
you."

IS: Do you have any thing to say for Inha high school
students?
Jung: I want our students to grow as good adults who is
needed in society and to do their best in their job.
